KAFD 1.06 Rooftop Heliport Certified and Operational

Unified Aviation is proud to announce the completion and certification of the new KAFD rooftop heliport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking a major milestone for advanced air mobility infrastructure in the region.

The heliport, constructed using Unified Aviation’s patented MESH modular landing system (NZ 804791 / WO 2025/089971), is now fully operational and certified by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA). Installed atop the King Abdullah Financial District’s Area 1.06 parking structure, it represents the region’s first complete and certified modular rooftop heliport, capable of supporting AW139-class helicopter operations and future eVTOL aircraft.

KAFD described the achievement in a recent announcement:

“As Riyadh’s urban business epicentre, #KAFD continues to invest in advanced infrastructure and world-class facilities that drive the future of mobility and innovation. In partnership with The Helicopter Company, we’re proud to enable the successful activation of helicopter air mobility flights from the KAFD helipad in Area 1.06.”

The project demonstrates MESH’s capability to deliver rapid-deployment, high-performance heliports that meet strict structural and safety standards while integrating fire suppression, lighting, and smart control systems in a fully modular design.
