Modular Environmentally Sustainable Hybrid (MESH) Landing System
MESH is a patented, field-proven modular heliport and vertiport system developed by Unified Aviation (WO 2025/089971). It solves the challenge of creating modern, safe, and sustainable landing sites for helicopters and future electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
Already deployed and fully certified at the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) rooftop heliport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, MESH demonstrates its capability to deliver rapid-deployment, low-impact infrastructure that exceeds the performance of traditional concrete platforms.

Key Features
Patented Modular Architecture: Protected under international patent WO 2025/089971, MESH introduces a modular frame system with integrated utilities for fire suppression, power, drainage, and lighting. Each module mechanically and electrically couples to form scalable heliport and vertiport platforms that can be factory-built, shipped, and rapidly installed on site.
Future-Proof Design: MESH’s reconfigurable, relocatable modules deliver exceptional adaptability for the fast-evolving AAM industry, ensuring compatibility with both helicopter and eVTOL operations.
High Engineering Standards: MESH has been engineered to meet and exceed industry standards. Their unique, patent-pending design surpasses the operational requirements for helicopters and eVTOLs. Each product also comes with a 5-year warranty on all structural components.
Integrated Fire Suppression System: A key safety feature of these MESH products is the advanced Deck Integrated Fire Fighting System (DIFFS). This system, fully integrated within the deck of the platform, includes independent water and AFFF/F3 foam storage. The DIFFS offers a reliable, rapid-response firefighting solution that goes beyond traditional measures to provide an additional layer of safety.
Solar Powered – MESH can operate fully off-grid with solar panels that provide 5-10kW per hour charge capability, which exceeds all the energy needs of all onboard systems. Battery banks provide 48kW hours storage to run all systems for several days without charge and the whole system automatically switches to mains and/or generators as a backup.
Fully Equipped for Operations: MESH is operational-ready (subject to Authority certification) from day one for both private and commercial operations. They feature robust strength, sustainable materials, comprehensive lighting and markings, a solar-powered system, a full drainage system, and cutting-edge technology.
Customizable Size: MESH can cater to hybrid helicopter and eVTOL operations, and a wide range of helicopter and eVTOLs from small cargo drones, up to and including medium-large helicopters like the Leonardo AW189. MESH offers a versatile solution, with TLOF sizes ranging from D5 to D30, MTOW up to 9-tonnes, it is adaptable to various use cases.

Proven in Operation
The first complete and certified MESH heliport/vertiport is now operational at the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in Riyadh, KSA.
Installed on a high-rise rooftop, it showcases MESH’s ability to meet stringent structural, fire-safety, and operational certification standards under the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
This installation supports AW139 helicopter operations and demonstrates the system’s resilience under the demanding Riyadh climate — exceeding expectations for noise, vibration, and heat performance.
The KAFD site now serves as Unified Aviation’s regional reference platform, providing a live demonstration of MESH integration across DIFF fire suppression, off grid power, and modern control systems.
